Character

The High Road

Our character is best revealed when we are faced with a choice to go low or go high on challenging issues. In today’s world, there are so many opportunities to take the high road and demonstrate civility in action.

Plan for Social Change:

1.  Identify an issue, situation, topic, etc. that presents you with a choice to demonstrate character and take the high road.

  • Politics
  • Bullying
  • Diversity
  • Respecting others’ opinions
  • Respecting others’ rights

2.  Intentionally take the high road and display civility through your character, actions, and words.

3.  Encourage someone in your peer group to do the same. 

4.  Share your experience with the following post and hashtags on your social media platforms and/or the CIA Portal : “Today I took the high road. I’m creating a culture of civility.” #CIACharacter   #HighRoad
